Gold TA
This frame and fork was originaly a typical chrome plated TA but was covered with a gold tint at the Skyway factory. It was never released as a production bike and this prototype frame and fork layed on the warehouse floor for a number of years. When I worked at the Skyway factory in late 1987 I asked if I could have it and Ken Coster let me have it. It then sat in my garage for about 15 years before I decided to build it up. I had originally wanted to build it with era-correct parts including graphite tuff wheels and some flight cranks but the prices were a turn-off. So, I decided to see what I could do with just parts in the garage. In the end, I only had to buy a brake cable.

If you're restoring an 80's Skyway bicycle, you may find some of the following information useful.
The following hi-res scans of some early Skyway frame stickers can
be used to reproduce sets for your own frames. I don't have any
stickers for sale but if you need to get some reproduced, check with Scott. Scott can make excellent
quality one-off sticker sets from scans for very reasonable prices.
